Kids Helping Kids

Heritage Homeschool Co-Op of Owasso is participating in the "Change for Change" Campaign and we're so excited to see what these kids will do. At a recent meeting, Kelley Compton, Director of Finance and Child Sponsorships for Project Hope Worldwide, met with the kids and told them about the dire need of orphans in Uganda. She encouraged them to be part of making positive change in a world half away by saving their change at home. They will meet back in four weeks to see how much money was raised and it all goes directly to the orphans living at Calo Me Lare, the orphanage that PHWW has built.

The kids brought their own containers and decorated them with fun craft supplies...

And they have now set out to work to see how much money they can raise. Some have gone door-to-door asking for donations, while others have provided a product or service (i.e., homemade bracelets or styling doll hair) in exchange for donations.

We love the passion these kids have expressed in helping the children in Uganda and we can't wait to see what great things they do for them. Kids helping kids! We love it!
